Acoustic baffles for events and concert halls

Project description

CLIENT: loudspeaker

LOCATION: MADRID

DESCRIPTION:  The halls for events, exhibitions, talks and concerts also require specific acoustic parameters so that the different activities that take place there can be heard and enjoyed by the audience.
It is too common, unfortunately, to listen to a talk or conference, in a room without Acoustic Conditioning, and we all know the result: the speaker is not understood.

The same is true in exhibition halls where no attention is paid to acoustics. It is these spaces where acoustic comfort and silence should be essential to facilitate reflection.

For this reason, we always recommend acoustically conditioning the room for the type of use that is going to be made in the room. But it is also true that many times these are multi-purpose rooms, where a multitude of events of different kinds can be held, such as talks, meetings, product presentations, live music... In these cases, acoustics must reach a point of balance and compromise between the different uses, so that it is useful and works well for all of them.

This is the case of the events room of the Altafonte Company. In this space the company celebrates from work meetings, through business lunches, presentations, concerts…. For this reason, acoustic conditioning had to be carried out to make all these uses compatible. With this objective, we proposed an acoustic treatment based on acoustic baffles hung from the floor, and to reinforce acoustic absorption, on the ceiling of the central module of the room, sound-absorbing material was also installed, which despite being hidden from view, served to correct the reverberation time of the room.

With this performance in the field of acoustics, the room went from being a space with little use due to its poor acoustics, to having a place where you can make company presentations, press conferences, and even concerts that are recorded and broadcast. via Streaming or on Social Networks.
