Acoustic project for Home Cinema

Project description

Home theaters, or home-cinemas, require very demanding acoustic parameters in order to fully enjoy our favorite movies. While in music rooms parameters such as brightness, diffusion, warmth... are important, in a home theater a very low reverberation time is required.

In fact, if we look at the acoustic treatment of any commercial cinema, all the surfaces are sound-absorbing (carpeted floors, upholstered walls, acoustic ceilings…). All this means that the reverberation time is very low, which improves the intelligibility of the dialogues (something very important in the cinema), and also ensures that the action scenes are not cluttered.

For this reason, in the acoustic conditioning of a home cinema room, work is done mainly with sound-absorbing materials. As is the example of this project, where walls and ceiling have been covered with the EliAcoustic Curve Premiere decorative acoustic panel.

An acoustic panel with a thickness of up to 9 cm, which provides absorption from mid-low to high frequencies, covering a wide spectrum of sound, and providing highly controlled sound within the room. With its Premiere finish it gives us a plus of elegance, and its warm colors create a cozy atmosphere in the cinema. A dream for any movie fan!
